I’m impressed with how many media outlets are putting scare quotes around ‚manifesto‘ today, summarizing and reacting to a piece of writing while failing to provide a link so readers can come to any sort of informed understanding of their own. The Guardian article is representative of most media coverage of the New Zealand shootings I’ve seen and frightening in how poorly it describes both the form and content of the Great Replacement document. bell¿ngcat has some good analysis, as well as a link to the document, but he still doesn’t adequately describe the format and lack of coherency. It’s worth reading bell¿ngcat and at least skimming through the Great Replacement to give you some idea of the horrible reporting that’s being done.
